Bought 2 small packs for my other son (8 years old) to go skiing. He is of average height, about 52 inches, but thin and wears 13-year-old children's shoes. The socks fit perfectly - not too short and not so long that he had to fold them several times. Socks are warm but not too thick - no complaints. in the heat department. Good elastic at the top. Would buy again. In fact I did - bought 2 more packs a few weeks later.
