I have a strong sensitivity to the sun so we'll see how they work. You are on the skinny side. You can see through if you look through the back of the shirt in the light, but the blue shirt I bought gives the room a blue tint. So it's not entirely transparent. Walmart has thicker, less transparent UPF shirts than this one. But this shirt is no worse than the typical polyester shirt.
