Installed this lamp in my Mitsubishi 73" DLP TV (WD-73C11) about a week ago with no problems. The instructions were minimal to say the least, but installing any of these things isn't that big of a deal until then it has the lamp body that did it and that was the main reason I bought it. I just bought a bare bulb and wouldn't recommend this. Really sucks if a bulb explodes on you or your case melts because it wasn't installed/cleaned properly. This isn't rocket science or anything, mind you, just to screw it up easily IMO. Lightbulbs also contain mercury, so make sure to dispose of them properly and don't just throw them in the trash./ ////// /// /////2013-07-22 continued: Still working well so far I've found that this bulb takes a bit longer to warm up and produce a bright light ge al It's my old lamp, but that's ok. Reading about these DLP TVs it seems that generally if you turn down the contrast you will significantly increase lamp life. I think I'll find out how to do it.
