Review on 🧭 Ultimate Exploration: Magellan GPS Blazer12 Waterproof Hiking GPS Unleashes the Wilderness by Josh Schweitzer

Great for the price

The Blazer 12 is a handy and ergonomic tool for getting basic location and tracking information. The altitude function also comes in handy when calibrating weather devices. Sure, you can spend $50 more and get more bells and whistles, but this device has all the information you need for basic urban and rural expeditions. I have to admit that I'm pretty good at navigating anyway, but this model helps to check where I'm at right now. Like any other device used by a novice explorer, it is free but should not be used as a last line of defense. If you need GPS for IFR flying or deep forest camping, buy one of the really expensive downloadable GPS maps. But if you just want to know where you are and where you are going and where you have been, this will do it all for you.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
