Item shipped quickly Assembly instructions are very poor. I was missing a set of drawer slides and the side panel was torn at the bottom. The damage to the sidebar was on the inside, so I wasn't worried about that. I've made several attempts to contact customer service (about missing drawer slides) and left a message that hasn't been returned. I went to the Inval website and applied for runners but didn't get any confirmation about it. It is impossible to complete the installation of a top drawer in the closet until it is repaired. Allow at least 4 hours for assembly. The cabinet itself was not difficult to assemble. It's on a stand (not holding a square, wobbles back and forth) and I wouldn't recommend leaning against it as the whole thing will most likely fall into a pile of broken chipboard. Not pulling out the drawer very carefully will cause everything to wobble and the drawers to jam. Mounting screw locations are pre-drilled, but left-to-right spacing between drawer slides does not match. For this reason, the boxes do not fit well. The screw holes are not in the places indicated in the instructions. The block must be tilted backwards, otherwise the drawers will slide out by themselves. I have found that all of the drawers can be pulled out at the same time causing the unit to tip forward which is potentially dangerous. At 39 inches tall, the device should have adjustable aligners, but it doesn't. The instructions state a maximum weight limit of 55 pounds in file drawers, so don't plan on a lot of files. The unit has a single point locking mechanism that should lock all the drawers. The instructions say little about how it works. My lock cylinder is missing the parts holding it to the front of the drawer. Not sure if the lock will close all the drawers due to fit issues. Luckily, the drawer handle came with screws that were too long. There seemed to be plenty of washers in the handle pack which I used to get the screws to work, thought they were sticking into the drawer. All in all, I wouldn't recommend anyone shelling out $250 to buy this device, it would be expensive for half that price. The quality is poor, the assembly instructions are poor, parts are missing and there seems to be no customer service.
