Review on πŸ“Ί Winegard Elite Outdoor HDTV Antenna – 70 Mile Range for VHF and UHF Channels by Ross Sugden

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy to assemble, set up and install in my attic!

I just had my roof re-roofed last weekend and didn't want to install my old roof top digital antenna and damage the new shingles so I checked out the loft style digital antenna and came across this elite based on a review by TechHive. I got an 8 foot 2x4 and cut it to 7 feet, installed roof to ceiling and used the remaining 1 foot+ block as a spacer to keep it off my chimney. I live 25 miles south of Charlotte, NC and my house faces NE so I was able to tilt this antenna NE far enough to pick up a total of 46 channels. It was the same number I got from my old roof antenna! It was easy to assemble and easy to install where I needed it. The only issue worth noting is that the coax connector on the back is in the middle where the "chest" mounts, making it a bit difficult to get the cable through properly without crossing it. It would be easier if the connector was offset to one side or the other, but don't knock the star down. Overall, this digital antenna is a great fit for me!
