TLDR: If you like big bass and don't care about quality, get this one. If you like the overall sound quality, keep looking. I bought this set because I needed speakers for my home office that had less expansion than my Bose Bluetooth speakers and were smaller than my large high-end rig in my living room. Although they have lower frequencies, the sound quality from satellite speakers is terrible. The satellites are a single 3-inch driver (no tweeter) so the highs are low and harsh when EQed. The mids also sound harsh, with dips and peaks at various frequencies, with a strong notch at the junction between the satellites and the subwoofer (150 Hz). it's better if you keep the satellites away from you, but to be honest I'll probably sell either these or the Frankenstein in some other satellite speakers. I've attached some frequency response graphs I made to try and figure out why they sounded so bad. Both are performed with no EQ adjustments and a 20Hz-20kHz sweep using a calibrated Dayton iMM-6 measurement microphone.
