I had a similar wok strainer, I think 30 years old The metal was rusting and messing up my sink. Happy to find this replacement - upgraded stainless steel metal. This bamboo handle is superior to the metal handle variants in that it does not conduct heat. I was pleased that a smaller cup size was available - 4 inches in diameter - as it fits smaller pots.
