This ink gets the job done. In any case, I didn't want to get high print quality from my home inkjet printer (Canon Pixma 860), but the quality seems to be close to genuine Canon branded inks. Cartridges are sealed. Some colors have a plastic tab that you unscrew before use, like the Canon brand. Some only have a sticker seal. The ones with the sticker drip heavily with ink when you tear it off. So make sure you have some form of protection when replacing these cartridges. I saved about $45 on discounted ink, but now I probably have a $100 magenta ink stain on my new carpet. They're definitely inexpensive, but the seals and packaging don't match. It looks like someone just grabbed the colors from some kind of "bag" of cheap ink from different manufacturers. Again, they do their job cheaply, but be careful when opening the seals! Updated 8/7/2014: I'm giving 3 stars because I'm not 100% sure if the jet problems I was having were caused by these ink cartridges or some other issue. My nozzles eventually got so badly clogged that even after running the system head and cleaning the nozzle, I still had major printing problems. And every time you do a head/nozzle cleaning and then a test, you end up using more ink. Again, I can't technically prove this was caused by using these ink cartridges or a manufacturing issue with the printhead and nozzles themselves. I wish I had hard evidence of what caused the problem with my printer, but I don't have any. So I will find that the ink printed fine when it was originally installed and doing its job, but after a while something happened to my printer after which it stopped printing normally. Buying a new printer was cheaper than trying to fix the old one.
