Review on La Crosse Alerts Mobile 926-25004-WGB - WaterLeak πŸ’§ Probe Add-On Sensor for La Crosse Wireless Monitor System by Justin Kedzior

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I had a heck of a time for one of the wet and dry sensors to stay online (lots of sensor and gateway resets before it became stable), but it's been fine ever since. If you don't want to install.

Definitely the cheapest moisture meter I've ever picked up. $11 a year for a sensor alert seems a bit pricey for email alerts. If it was $11 a year for a house, it wouldn't be hard. I bought two wet/dry moisture meters and two regular moisture meters. I had a heck of a time for one of the wet and dry sensors to stay online (lots of sensor and gateway resets before it became stable), but it's been fine ever since. If you don't want to set up zwave/smartthings, this is a good way to get started with home monitoring. If you are not paying for the alarm, you can still control the sensor using the smartphone app or website (lacrossalertsmobile.com). The app is an Android/IOS wrapper for a website.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
