Review on 🍳 Cuisinart 719-14 Chef's Classic Stainless 1-Quart Saucepan: Premium Quality with Cover by Michael Caldwell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Forget expensive European frying pans, buy these.

Works like an expensive fully clad version at a great price. Because it's a saucepan and not a fryer, fish pan, casserole or grill, I use it to make sauces and it excels in that role. Note that many of the less than happy reviews have been written by people who use it for everything from candle making to casting lead bullets to baking cookies and boiling whiskey malt. This skillet, or any other coated multi-metal sandwich panel, should not be heated too hot or too quickly and should be kept centered over the fire. See that rim below? If the flame goes beyond this line, bad things will happen. Meanwhile, if you're making thick sauces with cream, sweeteners or butter, the mild, even heat and tight-fitting lid will make you smile. I make a barbecue sauce with caramelized chopped onions, sorghum syrup, and red peppers that will make your enemies forgive and forget. This pan is perfect for 6 or 8 people serving gravy. The entire line of Cuisinart pans is a steal.
