I bought two types of skimmer socks that were more expensive and felt guilty throwing them away. These are the perfect blend of decent quality and inexpensive. They are easier to stretch over my basket than the higher quality ones and held up just fine. I did put a weight in the bottom of the basket to hold the sock down. Once or twice a week I change the sock and just throw the dirty one away. At less than 50 cents apiece I can do that guilt free.
