Review on πŸ”ͺ Precision Kitchenware - Ultra Sharp Stainless Steel Dual Julienne & Vegetable Peeler: A Complete Package by Tricia Grundmeier

Revainrating 3 out of 5

If you just want to peel the skin, buy a different knife.

I've been using this peeler for almost 3 years now and it's still like new after dozens of washes in the dishwasher. I hate it but I didn't change it just because it didn't break. I thought the dual functionality of the julienne side would be great for vegetable noodles (zoodles), but it's so awkward to use that I've only made zucchini noodles once in the 3 years I've had it. Sometimes I'll reach for it to peel carrots and accidentally use the side of the straw, which is annoying because it's very difficult to get food from the side of the straw. If all you need is a cleaning knife, don't take it, it's too heavy and its versatility is pointless. Get a spiralizer if you really want zucchini noodles. Grab a mandolin if you really want to finely chop your veggies. Both will perform significantly better than this knife. Also the heaviness of the knife is sometimes dangerous as the blade is very sharp. I slipped a few times and cut my fingers due to the weight. The weight also makes it so much longer to do simple cleaning jobs and I feel like more product is wasted because the chips are so thick. Generally just get a basic Y peeler if you're looking for a quick peel.
