Review on πŸ‘§ Fitbit Ace 2 Activity Tracker: Count on a Healthy Future for Kids by Eric Surabhi

Only possible to a very limited extent without an app.

I bought this for my 8 year old daughter to track her steps, activity and sleep. She liked the look of her new watch and the touchscreen functionality. However, I was very disappointed to learn that sleep tracking only had to be enabled/disabled through the app. My daughter doesn't have a phone yet. And every night/morning I have to open the app on my phone to tell the watch that it has fallen asleep/woken up. I wish it was more of an Apple Watch that tracks sleep right from the watch without any app intervention. Also, any changes to settings must be made through the app. As well as alarm clock and clock face changes. I would recommend getting a smart fitness tracker that is app independent. The watch is very limited in what it can do directly from its face. Not worth the price. And definitely not suitable for children over the age of 6, as no child by the age of 6 will have a smartphone. And without a smartphone, this watch is just a pedometer. Something I can buy for less than $10. Save your money and buy something better.
