Lots On Cartridges For A Universal Economical Low power reverse osmosis system. I am pleased to see that the reverse osmosis water filter system I purchased from Lowes over 5 years ago (which I buy these cartridges for every 6 months) is still being sold as a brand new item at the time of writing this. Companies can primarily make money from replacement cartridges rather than selling systems that they use regularly. The prognosis is good that these cartridges will remain affordable and affordable. They should be replaced every six months, both the pre-filter and the post-filter; therefore they are sold in pairs. Easy removal and replacement couldn't be simpler. I can do this without touching any parts that come into contact with the innards of the water system. If you're willing to take a little risk, then you can resterilize your entire water treatment system by just swapping out those pre- and post-filters. This is my opinion and most likely not approved by the manufacturers. Be sure to read the user guide to make that decision yourself; Please note, however, that the mechanical ease of changing the cartridge is always rated A+! I have been happy with these cartridges for years and have always had great tasting water from our reverse osmosis system.
