Genuine Powerpole connectors are amazing once you understand all of their characteristics. When creating a plus/minus pair, you can move the terminals together so that they form a block from left to right and then cannot be connected incorrectly. The original plugs can also be easily pulled apart (side by side) if the wires need to be separated. They are not manufactured with sufficient precision. I have found that I have to use pliers to dock them side by side - they slide almost all the way but get stuck about 2mm from the end. Once paired, they're fine, but if you need to separate them (e.g. I put them together and swapped left and right and wanted to swap them) then I can't separate them. My original Powerpole connectors, which are relatively cheap at places like Mouser, are easy to disconnect.
