I bought this when my last electric meat grinder broke down, the batteries had to be replaced. It's really easy to use, just twist and turn. The degree of grinding is easily adjustable. There's an LED indicator to see what's coming out, but it's not very helpful. I have to move the grinder away from the food to avoid the brightness, but then there's a risk of salt or pepper ending up on my table. I recommend very large salt crystals, otherwise the salt will ooze out quickly; However, I personally use coarse sea salt from a large shaker and expect the first shot to be very concentrated.
