Review on Gamepad Microsoft Xbox One Controller, white by Dorota Poniak (Grand ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not a bad product, quite normal quality.

I didn't rush to write a review right away; rather than doing so in the first few days after making a purchase, I made the decision to first put the product through its paces for a longer period of time in order to establish the most impartial judgment possible. As I was hunting for a good and affordable controller for my Apple TV 4K, I came across several different models that caught my attention. They included the PG-9188, the Xbox One Controller, and the SteelSeries Nimbus. The Xbox One Controller has become the ideal product since it is reliable, it fulfills its intended purposes, and it is not overly pricey (3000 versus 6000 for the SteelSeries Nimbus). Even though not all tvOS capabilities are supported, and even though not all apps and games support everything or this controller, it is still a worthwhile purchase if you play active games on Apple TV on occasion because it is more convenient than using a remote. In particular, it works well for the game of racing and for the game of Hungry Shark. After experimenting with a single remote, I went out and purchased a second one because I had discovered at least two games that could be played cooperatively by two people. These games are Riptide GP and Beach Buggy Racing.

Pros
  • 1. Compatible with the new Apple TV 4K. 2. The connection is established without any difficulties. 3. If you don't play your game very often, then regular batteries should last you for a very long time. If you play a lot, it can make sense to invest in some batteries for your game system. Indeed, and it will also benefit the environment, as throwing out batteries causes a significant amount of damage to the natural world. 4. By the way, a pair of batteries is included, so there is no need to rush off to the store to buy some. 5. If you own an Xbox or have recently purchased an Xbox One controller for Apple TV, you should be aware that the set-top box can accommodate multiple controllers at the same time. 6. Multiple controllers can be used for games that support two or more players simultaneously. I decided to get two of them so I could have company. Regrettably, there are not a lot of games like this available. Send a letter to the people that produce video games and ask them to include the option of playing a local game with two or more players.
Cons
  • 1. You are going to have to spend a lot of money if you want rechargeable batteries rather than disposable batteries. This is due to the fact that the gamepad does not come with an internal battery. To our relief, the GP sells a package that includes a charger as well as four batteries for somewhere between 1100 and 1500. (for instance, the decision is entirely up to you). 2. Although the controller is equipped with a headphone jack, it cannot be used with Apple TV. Yeah, okay. 3. Initially, there were some technical difficulties. After using the gamepad, the Apple TV remote frequently did not function well; either the sensor did not operate everywhere (for example, in multitasking mode), or some keys did not work properly. Either putting the set-top box into a sleep mode or restarting it was the "treatment" that was administered. However following the tvOS ates update, it appears like a lot of things have been fixed; I don't see those errors anymore. 4. The Gamepad is incompatible with some of the tvOS features. It does not, for instance, allow you to rewind videos on YouTube. The functionality varies from application to application; in some, it does not operate at all, in others, it works in part, and in still others, it works within the boundaries that are established by the game or application. It's true that some applications have even the most fundamental features that don't operate well or don't work at all, such as the ability to navigate around the menu. Thus, the remote control will not be replaced by the gamepad. At least for the time being.
