Review on Simplicity 16HP 23HP 1734506SM 1727223SM 1734505SM by Brad Bryant

This two wire throttle controller was purchased as a direct replacement for my Simplicity Conquest lawn tractor. Yes, this part looks like the real thing, the part number is accurate and for the most part it fits almost exactly, but as we all know, Chinese fakes are always a little different. I was able to install this part on my tractor but with relative difficulty. The problem arose from the way the "Z bend" was made (for those who don't know what the "Z" bend is at the very end of the cable where it's shaped like a Z and allows attaching cable to hole in carburetor/choke rods). The Z-arc of the cable needs to be bent in a specific direction so that it can be easily inserted into the appropriate hole in the "outside-in" direction. On this particular part, the Z-bend was mirrored to the OEM part (backwards) and could not be easily adjusted to the correct position. To ease installation, almost all of the throttle body and throttle shaft connections had to be removed to allow the cables to be installed "inside out". All connections and shafts then had to be reinstalled. Of course the new cables work properly now, but it was a lot more work than making the bends in the right direction (cables have a built in character and if you try to bend them again they usually break.) Now I know no more I have no grudges against either the seller or Revine. I am satisfied with this part and this purchase. This is just a prime example of the difference between more expensive OEM parts and cheap Chinese parts. I went for the cheaper price and ended up paying the price! I would recommend this part to others if asked. Thanks.
