These saucers are smooth and easy to clean, very sturdy, sheer enough that they don't catch your eye too much but not the flimsy transparent type. really good product. I have them in several sizes. I would also like to recommend the MUDEELA brand plant saucers from this site for the purpose of bird baths. I live in the upper midwest ; it's both extremely hot and cold. These have served well as bird baths during the summer, we'll see how they do in winter. They come in sets of 5 or 6 so I'm planning to make a circle of stones to hold trays on 2 levels, so I can lift a frozen tray out and replace it with fresh water daily.
