I was a bit skeptical about the $45 binoculars but thought it was worth it. they are quite light - much lighter than one would expect given that they are also quite large. or at least more than what I'm used to. As for magnification, I need to compare it on my scopes. It didn't really feel like 20x zoom, but like I said, I need side-by-side - although it definitely zooms a lot. I had to order a shoulder strap for her because I don't like things around my neck. Its biggest feature is the 28mm eyepiece. it's easy to see. very different and MUCH better than any other pair I have ever owned or used. The focus is super ergonomic and very easy/quick. These are my favorite binoculars I've ever owned.
