Connection to lightning connector not reliable

This was advertised as iOS compatible but this is debatable, when I plug in the lightning cable from my iPad it doesn't always charge the iPad. I've given it 3 stars consistently because I didn't have to plug and unplug and flip the lighting cord to connect. It was a lot cheaper than the Apple brand, but now I understand why
