I ended up having to soak them in olive oil. And even then they came out very quickly. I only use them with leftover wax from other candles. When they burn out I pour the wax into a jar and create a brand new candle. However, if I were to make and use sales candles, I would get a lot more excited. I thought this might be a good alternative to my usual branding which would require a visit to the store. They weren't. Very thin, doesn't burn or crackle like the thick wooden wicks I usually buy.
