The difference between this unit and the original is the length of the cord (the new one is too short) and where the volume controls are located. The controls are built in a row and the cord is so short that the small redesigned switch and dial sits under your chin when you wear it! I'd rather leave it where it was!, at the attachment point where your hands are and easily adjustable. With this new (stupid and horrible design) layout, you have to take one hand off the controller and reach under your chin to try and find it. HORRIBLE! who liked it better? why do they keep making things new to make them WORSE!?. Can't use it and can't find it now because they don't show cables and controls. I'm afraid I'll get something else, stupidly over engineered, like this one.
