Review on πŸ’Ž Standard Diamond Sharpening Holder Stones by Jason Cho

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It probably saved me from losing my thumb.

I'd be a little embarrassed to admit how long I've been sharpening a large santoku or something with one hand on a 5 inch whetstone that's sitting on the countertop. This is a fantastic whetstone holder. The metal components are made of stainless steel and easily adapt to different stone sizes. Except 4-5 inches long. For these, the center support block had to be swapped out for the outer clamp block to support it for easy reach. The holder is definitely a good investment, it holds the stone soaked in water or oil securely without loosening and the base is very non-slip.

Pros
  • The holder's rubber coating fulfills two tasks at the same time, not only by holding the stone on top, but also by preventing the entire device from slipping when there is a lot of water. The metal parts of the holder are chrome-plated. It is an ideal holder for use with diamond stones, water stones and oil stones.
