The magnet is a bit weak.
Just got this thermometer and just tested it in an ice bath to make sure it's accurate. It worked great. The display is nice and big. The backlight is nice. I think a graduated probe would make it easier to get that deep into some cuts of meat. The only negative thing I noticed is that the magnet is a bit weak. When I first attached it to the fridge, it immediately slipped off a few inches. It doesn't really matter for my fridge as I have lots of other magnets I can use to support it. But other people might be interested to know that this isn't very reliable if you plan on using a magnet.
