It seems like many companies can't be trusted these days, but BISSELL certainly can. This carpet brush is the exact same one I had in college many years ago, which followed me from apartments to my own house and now maybe even languishes in one of my pantries - hidden but not forgotten. This device sweeps up sand and scraps of paper, and also grinds up (accidentally) dropped popcorn kernels, leftover cereal, and balls of dust—strings and lint from sweaters, I can name all sorts of things it picks up—easily. You just squeeze the handle and it glides across the carpet, also works on hard floors but not as well. (It takes the carpet's friction against the rotating brush heads to sweep things better). Definitely to buy again, my original was a light mint green that was still the same color - and not even rusty - at least 35 years old, this is a "blue robin egg" and now takes pride of place in mine small studios. .
