My husband and I have been using Britta filters for over 10 years. We also went through our share of mugs. So these filters work well. I waited until my Britta filter was empty before replacing it with this one. And this new filter filters just as well as the Britta filters in my opinion. I don't notice any difference. I'm the pickiest water lover in my house. Husband would probably drink from the tap. I refuse. I make coffee out of it, even soups and broths. I don't want my food spoiled by bad tasting tap water. The difference between the two different filters is that Britta filters range from $18 to $21 for six of them. Where is this, I think when I ordered it was about $13? Yes. I think I just changed the brand of filters. But I think we'll have to see how they hold up. I usually buy filters that are meant to last a very long time. They cost more, but believe it or not, changing filters is a chore that I don't like. I find it annoying. 2 months sounds reasonable. But let's see. I'm used to advanced filters. However, you can't beat the price.
