ThunderEase Works But Be Prepared To Give It Time.

ThunderEase calming aids work wonders for helping our dog feel safe. We always know when her T-collar is nearing the end of its potency because she is noticeably less confident towards the end of the collar's life. We want her to feel safe so we'll keep buying them but they are expensive and they do not always last the entire 4 weeks. I'm guessing the collar's life is affected by the number of or intensity of situational anxiety triggers which affect her body's stress responses and increase her body temperature. More stress means a shorter collar life because body temperature is what activates the pheromone release from the collar. We are noticing that she's developing coping mechanisms over time but it does take time and we've probably spent just over $250.00 on T-collars in the past year. We don't use the spray unless we're close to the end of the collar's life and such use has become less frequent. We don't use the diffusers any more as she gets more continuous support with the T-collar. Anxiety disorder is a thing for dogs and our girl has come a long way in the past year since we started using the T-collars. We've used the diffuser system, too, but it sprayed onto the walls above the diffuser. The spray works well but only lasts about 4 hours and comes in a very small bottle. It is also expensive. We saw a better value using the T-collars. The spray is best for intermittent stress like short stranger visits inside the house.
