Razer Mini - Non-slip on fabric - Sandpaper-like center slider

Gliding center optics are either upside down or missing. It's rough as sandpaper and prevents the mouse from moving across the cloth pad when I apply any sort of downforce, like the weight of my fingers. There is no sound when you slide your fingernail along the guides on each end of the mouse. They are silky smooth and slippery. When I run my fingernail across the center of the slide, around the optical eye, it makes a scratching sound and is very harsh. Probably manufacturer confusion. Someone must have confused which side the mouse pad is on at the factory and installed them all upside down. I'm tempted to just remove the middle slide and see if it's reversible. I'm not sure I want to go through the trouble of returning it for that cheap. The keys make a solid and tidy impression. No noise when shaking the mouse. I don't feel any delays or inaccuracies. I can use a mouse on my Perixx aluminum mouse pad without cloth over it, but it's cold and I don't like it. It is clear that the central slip should be slippery and not increase friction, slow movement and not affect the area. The mouse is very narrow, which takes some getting used to. My hands: from the palm to the tip of the index finger = 175-180 mm. The distance from the palm to the tip of the middle finger = 185-190 mm. Palm width = 95mm to 100mm. With mice, I prefer the fingertips over the claw or palm. I ordered this Razer Mini along with the new Coolermaster MM720. The MM720 is a bit short but has a good width. On the CM MM720, I find myself constantly grabbing my fingers for the left and right mouse buttons and having to reconfigure. The Razer Mini is a comfortable length but is a bit narrow in width, which can cause cramps in my arms. I think I'll end up choosing the Razer Mini over the Coolermaster MM720 because of the length issue. I also have: - BenQ Zowie S2 (good size, buttons for DPI and polling on the bottom but leaves sticky marks on my fingers that I can't get rid of, it's driving me crazy. I even put Tesa tape on both sides and on buttons but it still happens with the rest of the mouse which I didn't cover. Tried rubbing alcohol, distilled water, dish soap, maybe my specific skin oils suck out some of the plastic chemicals? Who knows, but it sucks, I can don't use it) - BenQ Zowie ZA11 (I've been using it for years) and EC1A (quite large for fingertip use but still works) - Logitech G203 Prodigy (decent for fingertip use) and a bunch of different ones entry-level wireless models - Corsair Saber model I think (the middle wheel stopped working for exactly a month whatever I scrolled, usually in the game menu, the menu rolled back a bit when i stopped scrolling reduced me i'm crazy) - roccat kova and a few things about the roccat model (side buttons i never use, i accidentally press them all the time) i'm always Looking for a good, reliable, lightweight, small form factor mouse. I've only had the Razer Mini and CM MM720 for a few hours, so I'll be back after a while.
