I even went beyond the manufacturer recommended ratio but still couldn't get it.

As other reviewers have pointed out, disassembling the die head is nearly impossible. Also, I've had a hard time spraying latex paint no matter how I mix the paint. I even went beyond the manufacturer recommended ratio but still couldn't get the pattern I wanted. Very little paint comes out of the nozzle. Maybe an oil paint would be better for spraying, that was my guess. I managed to disassemble the nozzle after searching the internet for some tips. You will need a heat source such as an 80w soldering iron, the type you use for plumbing or artwork, a 10mm socket and a breaker. First, heat up the soldering iron and touch the nozzle head. Move it to another place from time to time, but still touch the nozzle head. After 15-20 minutes, feel the body of the spray gun, it should be slightly hot, which means that heat is being transferred from the nozzle head to the body. Then use the pry bar along with the 10mm head, you can disassemble the nozzle with little effort. I did it as shown. This is because since red Loctite is used to attach the nozzle, the heat will destroy the Loctite glue. I hope this helps others who want to take the atomizer apart for cleaning.
