I bought my granddaughter a Vampirina mug before she even learned to use a mug! Even though it was plastic, I put it in the dishwasher for 1 hour of washing and everything was fine. Unfortunately, it didn't hold up to normal full-length washing and melted to the point where the lid couldn't be unscrewed. This mug is the perfect replacement! It even has a built-in straw! She loves it and will use it for years as I won't just wash it in the dishwasher anymore! :D
