These shorts are very light weight, just what I was looking for. The outer material dries very quickly. They have a built in lining that is quite thin so unlike some other shorts I've had the lining isn't too thick and warm. The only thing I don't like is that the liner is too long. The shorts are also quite long. So if you're shorter than me, they'll come down to your knees. However, it is difficult to prevent the liner from going beyond the knee. If it weren't for that "bug" I would probably give it 5 stars. I like them so much I'll probably buy another pair, although the extremely long liner is annoying. All I can say about the fit is that size XL fits me perfectly. I used a size chart that said waist 38-40 for size XL and it worked for me. Regarding the length of the shorts and particularly the lining, I'm 5'8". I suspect a taller person will find the length better, although the balaclava design will stand out a bit more.
