I no sooner had this pad laid down and one of my cats had claimed it as his! He's an old man at this point as he is about 15 yrs old now. He has always been a thin cat, though he eats more than enough! He was born with a heart murmur, but I don't know if that's why he's always stayed as thin as he is. As he's gotten older, he seems to be more prone to be bothered by being cold, so he really likes that body heat coming back to him when he lays on the pad. It is super soft to the touch, and even has a little tab that you can either hang it up with, or if you put it inside of a carrier that has a hook, you can keep it inside the carrier even if the cat is not inside any longer. I'm very glad that I did get this as I see how much he gravitates toward lying on it, and I know it's helping him with the cold factor. I have it lying on my bed near the foot, but when I wake up in the morning, it's up next to me with him lying on it telling me it's time to eat! LOL He's very vocal, as most Bengal cats are, and demanding, making sure I know it's time to get up and breakfast ready. I have other cats also, though I've yet to see any other on this pad. He has let all know it's his! I'm so glad that it is helping him keep warm in his older years! If anyone is on the fence about this pad, I definitely recommend getting one, or several. I do think I'll be getting more so my other cats can enjoy a pad also, it's only fair afterall. Best wishes to all!
