It's silicone I agree but that's the only precision the manufacturer has to claim. In order to obtain a mould, in this case rumored to be used to make round and square ice cubes, two parts must be joined together to form the material. This is not the case with this product, the top of the round shape is so thin and light that it just floats away, there is no mechanism to connect the two shapes, they just sit on top of each other. For a shape, this is an exceptionally poor design. The square shape suffers from the same problem: its walls are so thin and brittle that even when filled with water, they cannot hold their shape. If you are extremely careful and have a perfectly level spot to place a square pan of water, extra care and not moving too quickly from the sink to the freezer, you can be careful not to disturb it. and maybe get an ice cube. For me, that would be a lot more trouble than good.
