The ropes are well attached to the structure (ring). However, the ring segments are held together by small screws. Soon those screws loosened and the ring fell apart. Look for swings with ropes connected to grommets connecting ring segments. Take a ring that is difficult to assemble (the mesh keeps the segments energized so they don't fall apart).
