My bird is 18 and has never been in a cage. His cage is only for food and water. He has full power over the house and can sit where he wants. Make sure your bird has different landing spots. Sitting on such a perch for a long time can damage your bird's paws. The product is thin, so I knitted two together. I have four in total.
