Just bought it from the Xiaomi store in Shanghai and went back to the hotel to set it up. Once I put the batteries in and set it on the floor it was ready to use. I performed and got a very quick weight reading. Then I opened the Mi Fit app, added the device in the profile section and selected the scale. I gave him a few permits and he was ready to go. When the app was turned on, it immediately switched to a live display of the running scale when I stepped on it and in a matter of seconds it gave out a body estimate with a full set of percentages ranging from various compositions from fat to muscle mass, bone mass, water percent etc. d This is quite detailed. I'm not sure why some other people are having trouble with this. You may have used it with an older version of mi fit app, but since December 8th, 2019 it works like a charm!
