I used these to replace the factory antennas in my Lenovo W540 after one of the ends broke when replacing my wifi card. How difficult the replacement is depends on your computer and how far you have to take it apart to get at the antennas. My Lenovo was giving me a headache and these antennas were about twice the size at the end of the antenna mounted behind the LCD so I had to move them farther away resulting in the cable being too short. Both are the same length and about the same length as the shorter of the two factory antennas. So I had to reroute the cables and luckily I decided to plug in a second cable in case I break the other one. in the future because my other factory antenna cable also wore out because it didn't catch 2.5GHz networks very well. So, again, I connected both antennas and get the same connection speed with my router and the same download and upload speed. It's worth the few bucks they cost if you do the replacement yourself as you may have to do the same thing I did and almost completely disassemble the laptop.
