I live in an old (historical) house with tiny closets, so every inch counts. I saw these hangers at a discount store and bought a pack, initially skeptical that I could replace the heavy duty plastic hangers I used to prevent shoulder stretching on my tops. Tried them out for a few weeks and was "sold out". They take up much less space than plastic and are comfortable on the shoulders. Thin stainless steel hooks are also better for many door hooks. I like them better than flocked ones for my tank tops/slim straps - they are more durable and you can hang wet tops to dry. I wanted to replace most of my hangers with them. (Looking for more I found similar hangers with a wider shoulder width, too wide for me Misses S) Was glad to find these (about 16 1/4" at Revain - and at a better price.
