I bought these as a cheaper alternative to Nerf darts. I wish I knew there was such a big difference between them and the Nerf brand. The tips of these darts are HARD and HURT on contact with skin, while the nerf tips are soft and don't hurt. It was a very good price and I think if your kid uses them to shoot objects then it's fine. We use them to play like tags and they are really too complex for that. I think I even got some bruises from hitting her. I got my kids to wear sunglasses when using them because I think getting shot in the eye would be quite painful and dangerous. Next time I'll take the real one.
