This applicator is the best thing after slicing bread. I followed the directions and flushed it with mineral spirits first. (They do not use paint thinner as stated in the previous review). Put on rubber gloves and wring them dry with a paper towel, then leave them in the sun for about 15 minutes before use. Twice a year I cover Ipe's wooden terrace at home with a product called Deks Olje D1. This is an oil based matte finish used on boat decks. I usually apply it with a brush and then wipe off the excess with a rag. It usually takes me about 8 hours to build a 500 square meter deck. Today I tried the Ettore Floor Finish Applicator for oil paint and finish. It was wonderful. It was like washing a hardwood floor. Made the job easy. I did the whole deck in 1 hour instead of 8 including cleaning. Nothing drips out of the product. I will definitely use the product again. In fact, I went back to the store later that day and bought a supplement for the next time I craft my deck.
