Someone on the Hubitat community forum recommended this antenna as a replacement for the obviously weak antenna that comes with the Hampton Bay fan controller, the Zigbee module that sits in your ceiling fan canopy and gives you the power to control it via wink. SmartThings, Hubitat, or another supported Zigbee home automation platform. Before trying this I was concerned that the device would drop out of my Zigbee network from time to time and require a tedious reset/repair. Most of the time, keeping the repeater as close to the fan as possible has worked for me, but replacing the antenna with this allowed me to move this repeater to a different room (where I really wanted it) and still get better signal strength get than I did. initially did. This antenna is pretty cheap (and it's a set of two!), and replacing it is pretty easy (the canopy module unscrews to open and the antenna snaps in and out). When painted white (the underside is plastic, so I don't have to be afraid to paint the metal), it's slightly larger but much thinner than the original antenna and goes just as well with my white ceiling. People use it for other purposes, but I still found it good and I'm sure it will work just as well for anyone who uses it for whatever reason.
