They are much brighter than the old incandescent lamps. If you're using them in an old car you'll need to upgrade your turn signals to electronic ones, but it's only a few bucks and they work great. Be sure to buy a colored bulb that matches the color of the lens. They're so bright that if you put a white bulb in the brake light, they're not red, they're pink.
