Review on Cable Matters 3 Outlet Wall Mount Surge Protector with USB Dual Port 2.1 Amp Charging: Power and Charging Convenience for Multiple Devices by Christian Barnes

This is for the version with 3 sockets and 2 USB sockets. It appears to be a very well made item. The clear plastic strip at the top is illuminated green on one side and has the word "protected" cast in it. It's fairly bright and can be a bit overwhelming in the bedroom if you're sensitive to light, but if tucked behind a headboard or dresser it's fine. Other reviews say there is a retractable stand to hold the phone while charging, but I think that's only on the 6 socket model and not this one. It even comes with the correct screw and washer if you want to remove the bezel and use in a more permanent situation, but it fits snugly into the socket with no screw holding it in place. It plugs into the top wall socket and has a prong that fits the bottom earth hole so it covers the entire wall socket and cannot be moved to use just one wall socket, but it is more reliable and safer that way. This is a very good outlet extender/surge protector/USB charging station that can also work as a night light. I'll probably buy a few more if I need them.
