I love them and try to use them with chores around the house and I have a lot of finely textured long hair. (In the middle of the back and below) However, they slip out of your hair very easily if your hair is as straight as mine. I can't talk about textured hair as I don't have any. They're heavy for their size, which I like, but there's a bit of a learning curve in using them and holding them up as you bend over and actively do chores. They work very well in formal wear where you are expected rather than being dried out like I do at home at work.
