I cannot rate this product compared to others on the market as this is my first experience with a gps unit. But of course the price is right, only $100. I bought it for an elderly aunt who is very tech savvy but regularly commutes from Pittsburgh to North Carolina and keeps getting lost. I tried to teach her how to use it myself. So that's my criterion, and at this point I feel like she can probably handle that. (Though this might be my hope triumphing over experience!) Now that I've gotten used to it, it seems pretty intuitive and well thought out. For example, when entering a destination, it offers a list of previous destinations. When you first enter your destination, it can predict your street name and make suggestions that allow you to laboriously type each letter. And when choosing a route, you can choose "fastest", "shortest", "least freeway use" and "highest freeway use". There are clear voice commands well before turns, and the GPS aspect itself is extremely important. exactly, makes a ringtone like a doorbell when you reach the turning point. Very impressive. POI downloads are also available. The windshield suction cup mount works, as does the cigarette lighter power supply. the name of the current street, the street ahead, the direction to turn, the signal strength, and the direction you're going (my dashboard compass is no longer needed). What else do you need in the path of the navigator?
