I bought this product mainly because I needed a 0.5mm spacer. I prefer the Frosty Thermal Pad 12.8 brand for standard size graphics cards, but they don't currently have a 0.5mm shim. My only concern is that I wish it was cheaper. I did a hack mod for the 3080 and so far the pace has been pretty good. I used this 0.5mm thick plate to better accommodate the cooling plates that transfer heat from the plate attached to the GPU itself. I then used 1mm pads from Frosty Thermal Pads (instead of 1.5mm pads) so the overall thickness is still 1.5mm. In general, my temperature on my GPU is stable between 86 and 88 degrees. I made a similar paste mod and it hits 84-86 degrees so for an all pads mod I'd say it's a success. Very glad it worked in the end and I'll probably get more later in the future as I much prefer using paste to bridge the gap.
