This is the perfect ice cube tray. Ever since I was a kid I hated refilling ice cubes and to my parents' chagrin I always put them back empty. Now fun! I try very hard to ensure that there are no air pockets in any of the cubes. The silicone lid will pick up the freezing smell after a while, but luckily there's a solution! Remove the silicone pad and bake in the oven. Do not bake the plastic shell. 300° for 10 or 15 minutes is usually fine. This also works for Instant Pot pods.
