I used to have a SUTRA straightener which I LOVED and lasted 5 years. When it finally stopped working, I ordered this model as a replacement in February 2020. It was a good rectifier. It wasn't as sleek as the old model I had and pulled my hair a little more. He never seemed hot enough either. Haven't used it much since COVID as I haven't bagged and styled my hair that much. However, I had it for 14 months before it stopped working in April 2021. I suspect a wiring error. It turned on but didn't heat up most of the time. And finally, the cord made a "popping" sound when turned on and started smoking, so I unplugged it and haven't used it since. I am very disappointed as I liked my previous SUTRA straightener.
